The search is on for a bandit who was one of four men who robbed a KFC delivery-man in Mayaro last night.
His three other accomplices are now dead, after being shot by police.
According to reports, the 41-year-old KFC driver was delivering an order to Mischier Road around 9pm, when he was approached by a man who claimed to be the customer.
He was then accosted by three other men, who were armed with guns, cutlasses and knives.
The men proceeded to rob the victim of a quantity of cash, a cellular phone and food.
The four suspects then ran off, along the shoreline.
However, the police were notified and quickly responded, confronting the suspects along the beach front.
The bandits opened fire at the officers who retaliated, hitting three of the men.
They died at the scene.
The fourth suspect climbed over a wall and escaped.
