A Barataria man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate on Tuesday charged with the murder of Dominic Houllier, which occurred on May 9th 2019.
Jurgen Bryan, 35, of El Socorro Road, Barataria, was also charged with possession of firearm and ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Monday.
Houllier, 42, and a female relative, went to visit a property they owned at Temple Street on Thursday 9th May 2019 to evict a tenant. While there, Houllier and his relative were confronted by three men, inclusive of their tenant.
An argument ensued, during which the three men began shooting at Houllier and the woman. The men escaped on foot, while Houllier died at the scene. The woman was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations launched into the incident were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Dhilpaul, of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 2.
Bryan was arrested by officers of the Northern Division on Thursday 12th March 2020 and subsequently charged with the offences by WPC Timothy, also of HBI Region 2, on Monday.
This murder was previously solved.
29-year-old Andrew Johnson of Arima, was charged in connection with the offence on September 18th 2019 and appeared before an Arima Magistrate on September 19th 2019 to answer to the charge.
