29 people killed in landslide in Kenya

International news agencies and Kenyan media are reporting that 29 people were killed in Kenya, as heavy rains triggered landslides.The President Uhuru Kenyatta issued in a statement on the tragedy on Saturday.

The landslide reportedly began around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in West Pokot County near the Ugandan border,after hours of heavy rains according to the statement. The landslide caused “massive destruction” to infrastructure like bridges and roads.
