A vehicular accident in Couva on Saturday night has claimed the life of a 22-year-old Princes Town man.
The victim has been identified as Ryan Simeon Sampath.
Police report that just before 9pm last night, Sampath was driving with three passengers in a black Suzuki Ignis on the northbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway near the Couva Multi-Training Hospital, when he lost control of the car and crashed into a lightpole at the side of the road.
Sampath died at the scene, while his passengers all received serious injuries and are now warded at hospital.
