21-year old man charged with murder of Stefan Paul

A 21-year-old St. Joseph man is expected to appear virtually before a Tunapuna Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Stefan Paul, which occurred on March 2nd, 2020.

Isaiah Martin, of Maracas, St. Joseph, was charged with the offence, following advice received from Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Tricia Hudlin-Cooper, on Monday 16th November, 2020.

The body of Mr. Paul, 29, of Cocorite Road, Arima, was found in a bushy area at Pepper Village, Maracas, St. Joseph, on Monday 2nd March. He had been beaten and stabbed several times.

The suspect was arrested in the Central Division on Monday 9th November, in connection with the incident.

Investigations were supervised by ASP Douglas of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 2, while Martin was charged on Monday 16th November, 2020 by PC Benaldo, also of HBI Region 2.
