Darren Babwah, 21 of Dyer Village, Hardbargain, appeared virtually before Senior Magistrate Indira Mirsir –Gosine at the San Fernando Magistrates Court Wednesday.
Babwah, who is employed as a lorry worker, was charged with sexual penetration of a 14 year old girl.
He was arrested after a report was made to the South Western Child Protection Unit.
He was granted seventy-five thousand dollars bail with a surety and ordered to stay three hundred meters from the victim.
The accused is expected to reappear in Court on September 29th this year.
It is alleged that the man had sexual intercourse with the girl in a corn patch in September 2020.
WPC Quashie –Gay, of the South Western CPU conducted an investigation which resulted in the man being arrested and charged on August 31st, 2021.
