20 cakes donated to 2 special units of the TTPS

Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago as well as Corporate Trinidad and Tobago have partnered to share their appreciation for the TTPS’ Gender Based Violence Unit (GBVU) and the Child Protection Unit (CPU) in the form of cakes.

In a small handing over ceremony at the Police Administration Building on Monday 26 October, members of the ‘Love All, Serve All’ Foundation and the Kiss Baking Company, shared their gratitude for the officers of both units by donating ten cakes to each unit.

The catalyst for the drive, Mr. Paul Nahous said it was about saying thank you to the officers.

He also shared that most persons are of the mind-set that whatever horrors you (officers) face are just part of the job, and often they forget that officers are still human who constantly go above and beyond in their duties.

Also speaking at the presentation, acting DCP (Operations) Anthony James, thanked the public for their gesture. He also said that while we always have to persevere at the job, it is always wonderful to be recognised by our citizens and Corporate T&T for the diligence displayed, particularly by these two Units.

Present to receive the cakes were Superintendent Natasha George of the Child Protection Unit and Inspector (Ag.) Sean Raphael on behalf of the Gender Based Violence Unit. The cakes also featured a homemade chocolate cake by a member of the Love All, Serve All Foundation with a card from her children.
