The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has confirmed via release that two of its employees have contracted the Covid19 virus.
They said the employees are attached to the northern area but did not specify the exact location of employment.
The Commission said all health protocols were applied and the necessary contact tracing was conducted which resulted in employees being self-isolated and work areas sanitised.
T&TEC also added that the company union, the Oilfield Workers’ Trade Union (OWTU) was informed about the situation and their concerns were being considered.
