2 officers commended for role in solving murder case

Two officers were on Tuesday commended by Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, for their role in solving the case where businessman Christopher Hosein was murdered.

PCs Stefan Dennis and Michael Noel were presented with tokens of appreciation by Ag DCP – Intelligence & Investigations, McDonald Jacob, at a media briefing held at the Police Administration Building.

The two officers, who are attached to the Princes Town Police Station, were chosen as Officers of the Week after receiving high praise from the murder victim’s sister. She cited their persistence and commitment which led to the apprehension of both suspects.

“If all officers strive to be like these exemplary individuals, I have all confidence that the TTPS can make all the difference in the quality of lives for citizens in Trinidad and Tobago.”

She also praised other officers of the Princes Town Police Station as well as detectives from the Crime Scene Investigations Unit of Homicide Region III who were involved in the case.

Two suspects were arrested on October 28th 2020, hours after the murder took place and subsequently charged on November 5th 2020.
