Two men have been detained for stealing cables belonging to the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).
Reports are that officers of the Central Division responded to a report of larceny of TSTT cables in the Tabaquite area on Saturday and intercepted a silver Nissan AD wagon, with four suspects, in the Gran Couva district.
Police were able to apprehend two of the men – a 21-year-old from Laventille and a 28-year-old of Biche.
However the other two managed to elude capture.
A search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding a quantity of cables in the trunk, which were ascertained to be the property of TSTT.
