2 die in separate road accidents

The families of two men are today mourning their loss after they were killed in separate road accidents last night during the heavy rainfall.

In the first incident, around 8pm, barber Allister Augustine, who was drinking earlier in the evening, was walking towards his house on the Caparo Valley, Brasso Road, when he fell to the ground and remained there.

However a short while later, a man driving a Mazda ran over Augustine, killing him instantly.

In the second accident, a man, who is yet to be identified, was attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway at San Juan when he was struck and killed by the driver of a Hyundai Tuscon.
