Two men and dead and others are wounded following a failed drug deal in Enterprise on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, around 1:00p.m two groups of men met to conduct a drug deal which included the sale of marijuana worth an estimated $100,000.
One group of men included four persons while the other included six persons.
During the deal, there was a disagreement between the group members and two men from the group of four were kidnapped by the other group.
The other two men from the group of four escaped and went to the police station to report the incident.
While at the police station, the men received a call from the kidnappers who demanded money for their friends’ release. They provided details on where to make the drop off.
Officers went to the HDC’s Lion’s Gate housing community in Enterprise.
They found the kidnappers hiding in a house and both parties exchanged gunfire.
When the smoke cleared, two men from the group of six were injured during the shootout.
They were taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility where they succumbed to their injuries.
Two guns were found at the scene.
The two men from the group of four who were kidnapped were found.
One managed to escape and went to the police station. He had chop wounds about the body.
The other victim was found with chop wounds to his neck and stomach.
They were both taken to the hospital for treatment, where they are warded in a stable condition.
Police are continuing investigations.
