2 car smash in Tobago; 12-year-old injured

A two car smash in Tobago on Friday afternoon has left a 12-year-old boy hospitalised.

The child was a backseat passenger in a blue Nissan Tiida vehicle, driven by his father.

The man told police around 6:50pm, he was proceeding West past the intersection on the Claude Noel Highway, when a white AD wagon drove out onto the highway from Mt. Marie Road and hit his car on the left side causing it to spin out of control and fall off onto a depression on the left side of the road.

The left front tire and two doors on the left-hand side of the blue Tilda were damaged.

The boy’s father reported that his son was experiencing headaches and was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital.

Scarborough Police are investigating.
