19,656 students are set to write the SEA exam

3,919 persons will make up the supervisor staff to oversee the July 1st 2021 Secondary Entrance Assessment Examination (SEA).

This is revealed by the Director of School Supervision and Management, Naima Hosein.

The senior education official was speaking at a news briefing held by the Ministry of Education this afternoon.

19,656 students will write the SEA this year which is scheduled to start at 8:30am and last for three hours and twenty minutes.

The Director of School Supervision and Management also provided details on how many teachers and administrators have been received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Chief Education Officer, Lisa Henry David, said appropriate infrastructural work has been carried out to get schools in a state of
readiness for the SEA exam.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gabsby Dolly, said for students who are unable to write the SEA due to unforeseen
circumstances on July 1 st there will be a make-up exam on July 21 st .
