19-year-old shot in the face

Police in the Central Division are searching for the gunman or gunmen, who shot a 19-year-old boy to his face on Wednesday night.

Investigators were informed that at around 9pm, the teen was sitting in a parked grey Mazda 3 vehicle, on Sampson Trace, Cunupia, when gunshots rang out.

Residents ran out to investigate and saw a vehicle driving away.

They then noticed the teen with a gunshot to the right side of his face.

The teen, whose identity has not been released, is currently being treated in a serious condition at the Mt Hope Hospital.
