Thirty-Two drivers were issued fixed penalty notices for various traffic offences during a road safety enforcement exercise in the Santa Flora district yesterday.
Of the tickets issued:
• 19 were for excessive speeding
• Seven were for defective fittings
• Two were for no horn, no booster seats and failing to wear seatbelts, respectively.
The exercise was supervised by PC Karmody and included a team of officers of the South-Western Division Traffic Unit.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) continues to have an increased road presence to encourage best road safety practices and to enforce all traffic laws.
