Opposition Members Walk Out Of Parliament Citing No Confidence In Attorney General

Several members of the Opposition, United National Congress, walked out of House of Representatives just before the contribution of Attorney General, Reginald Armour, to the Bills of Exchange Amendment Bill 2022 on Monday.

Following the Opposition Leader’s contribution to the bill, Deputy House Speaker, Esmond Forde, had to intervene to restore order in the parliament as cross talk could be heard as AG Armour prepared to give his input to the bill.

At one point the Opposition Leader was heard saying that her side had no confidence in the AG.

The Deputy House Speaker told the Opposition Bench to leave in silence.

At the start of his contribution to the bill AG Armour commended the Opposition Leader for being present in the parliament and then proceeded to give his input to the bill.
