A schoolboy was stabbed by another student at the Barataria North Secondary School on Monday.
The 15-year-old told police that at about 12:30 pm yesterday he was walking along the corridor on the northern side of the building when he got into a confrontation with a group of students. The altercation became physical and there was an exchange of blows.
However, a 14-year-old boy allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the older teenager several times. The stabbed victim ran from the scene and raised an alarm.
He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated.
The 14-year-old was also taken to the hospital to be treated for wounds sustained during the ordeal.
Ag/Cpl Bhajan and WPC Bonnett of the Barataria CID together with North Eastern Division CSI personnel W/Ag/Sgt John and WPC Alexander visited the scene and recovered a silver knife with a black handlle.
