Head of the Pharmacy Association, Andrew Rahaman says supply chain issues and shipping delays have affected the availability of various medications.
He made the revelation while speaking with Power 012 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show this morning.
Mr Rahaman also addressed issues regarding home COVID test kits.
He said while it may benefit the public, there are concerns regarding quality controls, standardized testing and the invasiveness of the tests.
He also raised concerns over allowing pharmacists to administer COVID vaccines saying that while he believes it is a good idea, there are risks which need to be mitigated such as negative reactions to vaccines.
