TTUTA say second blackout day successful

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association (TTUTA) engaged in another day of blackout yesterday that saw educators switching off their devices and ceasing online classes.
Titled “Blackout the Sequel”, teachers went ghost again on October 5.
The idea was that students were not to be taught on that day, nor were teachers to show up for active duty, save for perhaps submitting a “sick leave” notice.
On Monday in-person classes began for forms 4,5 and 6 students.
Outside the Ministry of Education Port of Spain a group of concerned parents protested for all students to attend school.
The Education Minister says presently the Government’s position remains; only fully vaccinated children can return to physical classes.
