134 rounds of ammunition found in Petit Valley

An anti-crime exercise conducted in Petit Valley led to the seizure of a quantity of marijuana, ammunition, camouflage clothing, and a bulletproof vest.

Between the hours of 11am and 5pm on Thursday 8th April, 2021, officers of the Western Division Task Force and Operations Unit, proceeded to a bushy area along Hummingbird Drive, Simeon Road, Petit Valley. Officers conducted a search of the area, where they found and seized 119 grammes of marijuana, 50 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition, 84 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, one camouflage jacket and hat, and one bulletproof vest.

The exercise was supervised by Ag Snr Supt Kelvern Thompson, coordinated by Supt Henry and Asp Baird, and spearheaded by Insp Reyes, Ag Insp Grant and Ag Sgt Carmona.
Investigations are continuing.
