In the last 24 hours, T&T recorded 354 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall number of virus cases to 59,304.
The Ministry of Health in its clinical update advised of the latest infections.
These new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
Unfortunately, 13 more lives have been lost to COVID-19.
The patients were six elderly men, three middle-aged men and four middle-aged women. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 1,785.
The Ministry noted that of these 13 patients, two patients had no known comorbidities. Six people had multiple comorbidities, including a mix of diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, thyroid disease, heart disease and asthma. Five patients had one comorbidity including eye disease, Parkinson’s disease, fibroids and diabetes.
