Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has confirmed that 1,109 public servants have taken the COVID-19 vaccine following the mandate by government.
Speaking at today’s Health Ministry briefing, Minister Deyalsingh said his figure does not count other mass vaccination sites or the 109 health centres in T&T.
However, these figures came from their two dedicated sites at Government Campus Plaza and SAPA.
As such, he noted the number of public servants getting vaccinated since January 3rd could be higher.
Deyalsingh said this is since January 3rd, as government moves ahead with a policy requiring public sector workers to be vaccinated or face furlough.
