10 arrested in Marabella for breaching Public Health Regulations

Ten persons were arrested in Marabella for gathering and consuming alcohol in a public place in breach of the Covid-19 Public Health Regulations.

Officers of the Marabella Police Station and Southern Division Task Force, conducted an exercise between 2 pm and 6 pm, on Friday 25th June, 2021, during which they observed a group of persons gathered and consuming alcohol.

The persons, ages 30 to 46 from the Marabella, San Fernando and Claxton Bay areas, were arrested and charged with gathering in excess of five persons in public and consuming alcohol in a public place.

They were expected to appear before a Justice of the Peace yesterday.
The exercise was coordinated by Insp. Ramlogan and supervised by Sgt. Maraj and Sgt. Dinno.
